MINISTRIES

SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP

Sunday morning worship is the most important ministry we have at Rock Village Church, because it's where we join with the historic Christian church who met on Sundays to worship Christ, because that was the day on which Jesus rose from the dead! Sunday is the weekly spiritual meal that believers feast on when they hear God's Word preached, sung, and prayed.

SUNDAY MORNING EQUIPPING CLASSES

In an effort to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18), we hold equipping classes where the elders equip the saints in their faith by teaching how the gospel applies and speaks to different issues of the day, such as 'Why can we trust the Bible?' or 'How do we grow in evangelism?'

MIDWEEK GATHERING - STUDY & FELLOWSHIP

We at Rock Village Church have also considered it wise to meet up during the week, because the relationships of the church are our most important relationships. This ministry is designed to discuss the sermon and the passage preached in a direct discussion by the pastor. The hope is to massage God's Truth deeper into our souls in community, as well as pray for one another.

FRIDAY MORNING PRAYER

We strive to be a church constantly dependent on the Lord, and thus, constantly in prayer. We gather weekly on Friday mornings to praise God together in prayer and lift up our cares and the spiritual and physical needs of many to the throne of grace.

MEN'S MONTHLY BREAKFASTS & DINNERS

On the first Saturday of each month, the men gather together for the men's ministry, enjoy a manly breakfast, study Scripture, and seek to apply it, so that men are built up in the faith. This ministry also serves as an outreach to others. Men, husbands, grandfathers, fathers, teenage boys, and young boys are welcome to come!

WOMEN'S MINISTRY

Monthly Theology & Living (T&L): On the second Saturday of each month, the women gather together for the women's ministry with delicious brunch food and closer Scripture and theological study. All of the teaching is under the direct oversight of our elders. This recurring event is also to other women, mothers, grandmother, teenage girls, and young girls to fellowship and be encouraged by God's Word.

Book Clubs: Our women gather to dive more deeply into  particular topics of Christian living as women. These discussions typically run three weeks at a time per book.

​

Special/Outreach Events: We hold an annual Christmas tea and women's retreat to build up our sisters and as evangelism to friends and family who don't know Christ.

FAMILY DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY

Children's Class & Nursery

During the Sunday sermon hour, children ages 3-8 are welcome to gather for Rock Village Kids, a class setting that seeks to build up children's biblical literacy and understanding of the narrative arc of Scripture. We encourage families to stay together for worship, so this class setting is simply an option.

Nursery care will be available (starting Sep 2023) for young children 0-2 during Sunday worship to give parents an opportunity to focus on feeding on God's Word.

 

Songs & Story Hour

We host a monthly story hour for parents with young children one Friday each month. We focus on classic children's literature and gospel/biblical stories. Themes will focus on celebrating the good, true, and beautiful things God has created. This is a great event for Christian parents to connect, and to invite unbelieving friends.
